Exclusive Edition - The Single Malt range was launched in 2004 and in 2010 Amrut Fusion received the award for “Third Best Whisky in the World” in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible. The whiskies are made from barley grown in the Himalayan mountains. Amrut's master blender estimates that one year of aging in hot and humid Indian cellars is equivalent to about three years in Scotland. Around 12% of spirits are lost each year through evaporation (the Angel’s Share) compared to around 2% in Scotland. Single Malt only represents a small part of the total production: dark rum, brandy, vodka, gin and blended whiskies are also produced.
