The Mount Gay 1703 Black Barrel is a blend of pot still and column still distillates.
The distillates mature separately in heavily toasted ex-bourbon barrels.
Tasting notes:
Color: Dark gold.
Nose: Complex, notes of spices, toasted oak, fruit.
Taste: Strong, spicy, vanilla, dried fruit, notes of wood and pepper.
Finish: Long lasting, warm, fruity.
Best enjoyed neat, on ice or as a cocktail ingredient.
